 Elsewhere in Asheville, the Biltmore Holiday Decorations come alive and downtown overflows with gallery exhibitions ranging from the Photography of Walden Woods to the Southern Highland Craft Guild’s showcase of cabinetmaking at the Folk Art Center. Don’t forget the Christmas Tree Farms - open November 28 for fresh cut trees.

Seasonal Sizzle lights up the sky in downtown Asheville with Fireworks for three consecutive Saturdays starting December 6, 2008.  We’ll have some of the best views from our Walk in Park shopping promenade.

Kids will definitely enjoy the holidays as The Polar Express comes to the mountains at The Great Smoky Mountain Railway in Bryson City. And -  hold on to your yellow hat - Curious George is at The Health Adventure in Asheville. Like George, visitors will let inquiry and curiosity be their guides as they explore and experiment with new ideas, challenges, and materials.
