Tennis & Racquetball
The Grove Park Inn Resort & Spa is rated one of the "50 Greatest Tennis Resorts" by Tennis magazine, and it ranks in the top 75 tennis resorts in the country by Tennis Resorts Online.
Facilities include three outdoor hard courts and three indoor hard courts. The indoor courts, outdoor courts and the Tennis Pro Shop are located a short walk from the hotel in the Sports Complex. Guests are asked to make reservations for the courts in advance when possible, and check in at the registration desk before entering the courts. Reservations can be made by calling 828-252-2711, ext. 1046.
Court times and loaner rackets are complimentary for hotel guests. Cans of balls may be purchased at the Tennis Pro Shop.
For those guests playing alone, a ball machine is also available for rental. The Ball machine is available for $15 per hour.
Lockers and towels are provided to guests at no charge. Proper tennis attire (no cut-off jeans or swimsuits, please) and smooth-bottomed tennis shoes are required.
COURT HOURS:
Monday - Saturday 8 am-9:30 pm for indoor courts, 8 am-9 pm for outdoor courts
Sunday - 8am-9:30pm for indoor, 8 am-9 pm for outdoor courts
Outdoor courts are closed for the winter season: November 1-April 1
CLINICS
We offer Adult, Junior and Children's clinics. Guests can call the Sports Complex for times and details about the specific clinics.
Prices are:
Adults: $20 per person
Juniors: $15 per person for Junior Development on Tuesdays & Thursdays;
$20 per person for Junior Tournament Team and Monday's Junior Development
Children: Beginner and Intermediate clinics $15 per child

PRIVATE LESSONS:
The Sports Complex has two tennis professionals on staff to offer private lessons. If you are interested, please contact Head Tennis Professional Stewart Atkins to reserve a lesson. Advanced registration of at least 1 week is required. $75 per person for an hour.
TENNIS PRO SHOP
Located in the Sports Complex, this shop features the very best in Wilson tennis equipment, sports attire and tennis racket supplies.
Racquetball
Get in a game of racquetball on our court located at the Sports Complex. Reservations are taken for hour intervals. Racquetball is complimentary for Resort guests. Rackets, balls and goggles are available for use at no extra charge.
Guests are requested to check in at the registration desk before playing. Proper attire (no cut-offs or swimsuits, please) and only smooth-bottomed tennis or racquetball shoes (no black soles) are allowed on the court..
Racquetball court fee: $15 per hour (court time is free for hotel guests)
